VBM short term mission trips are centered on intentional, non-denominational Christian discipleship of trip participants and compassionate service to local communities, all under the leadership of Jesus.

We don’t go on mission trips to give things of great monetary value or to modernize a community’s way of life.

We go because we have something of imperishable, eternal value to share — the knowledge and love of Jesus, which we share and come to know more fully through intentional relationships.

Jesus came to earth to spread the good news of the Kingdom of God through word and deed. We go because Jesus came to us, and we follow his example — one of true compassionate servanthood.
